Mama Jo’s Collection is a mother and son collaboration. Joann Gordon also known as “Mama Jo” began doing abstract art some 15 years ago as a way to manage depression, and complications with Lupus. A form of therapy. An outlet. Her son, and biggest fan, a Hiphop artist named Radio B always looked for different ways to promote and display her unique talent. Fast forward to the summer of 2020. In the midst of a pandemic. Radio began working on clothing designs using images of Mama Jo’s art pieces. July 10th 2020 Mama Jo’s Collection was launched on KillTheDreamer.com. August 11th 2021 Mama Jo unexpectedly passed away from her fight with Lupus. Radio is now more than ever dedicated to pushing Mama Jo’s legacy and art throughout the world through fashion and other mediums. Mama Jo’s Collection is urban streetwear high fashion. It’s edgy. It’s risky. I't’s bold. It’s unique, and it’s one of a kind. The goal is for our customers to have an intimate connection to the pieces and to make a statement when they wear it in public.

JoAnn Gordon Carden - Words from the Artist

“My goal through my art is to let the world know that I am a part of them, and they are a part of me. To develop closeness through my expression and their interpretation of my art. I want the world to be able to see itself through my lens. This started as a way for me to relieve my stress and depression, and I hope that it is received in a way that helps people relieve their same anxieties.”

Gregory “Radio B” Carden - Words from the Designer

“My Number 1 goal is to uplift my mother’s art and her legacy. Through the designs I’m trying to reinterpret her whole artistic process into fashion. So not only her finished works but also her works in progress, her self perceived errors and abandoned works. Sketches, and color mixes. Sometimes even the messes left in the work area are used to create designs. You may get a design from a work in progress, and then another design from that same work in completion. I want to create timeless clothing and products that tell the whole story of my mother’s artistic journey”
